I am using a WD-BCAY5000 Passport portable USB-powered drive on a pc with windows 7.
The files suddenly stopped being accessible though the drive is still recognized. The light is still running and I feel the disk is still moving inside. It is also possible to eject the device.
The drive however is not visible through the disk management tool and impossible to browse.
Do you have any suggestions ?

I tried my drive on another PC with a different version of windows :

it detects new hardware when I plug in = WD Passport

but the folders still do not appear in windows explorer
I looked for an answer in similar topics but couldn’t find one
(correction about the P/N : it’s WDBACY5000ABK)
Hi, avoid using any USB extension cables or USB hubs, only use the 18 inch cable that came with the passport.
