Please Help!!!!! Sansa Question

Out of sansa 2 GB clip and sansa 2GB c250, which one has the longest battery time in your opinion?  The reason I ask this is b/c I am going to be using my sansa player EVERYDAY and may use it 16-17 hours straight listening to it, with no access to computer during these 16 hours to recharge it.  I don’t want to end up with player that dies on me after only 3 hours of use.  Thanks

I don’t know about the c250, but the Clip can give you up to 17 hrs with the right settings. If you’re going to listen to it every day for that length of time, you’ll end up charging it every day. That’s not good for it, since you’d be putting a lot of strain on the Clip. You’ll end up wearing out the battery in less than 2 yrs, & the display might die even sooner! Any portable mp3 player will give you less than 24 hrs of battery power per charge(even AAAs). Some last only 8-10 hrs! My advice is not to listen to it so much. Treat it well, & you’ll have a few yrs of enjoyment out of it.

I’m trying to imagine what a person’s daily schedule looks like when he/she has the ability to listen to music 16-17 hours a day.  And on a portable player (tough to hear the outside world).

“with no access to computer during these 16 hours to recharge it”

How about access to an electrical outlet to recharge it?

A Clip or c250 should have little trouble giving you longer playback time than most devices on the market.  The c-platform gives you the option of memory expansion, and the Clip’s form can’t be beat for portability.

My preference is the Clip, the coolest thing since the pre-sliced dill pickle.

Enjoy (either one)!

And for what it’s worth, Sandisk states that the Sansa Fuze will have 24 hours of battery life.

Other players also are around with “mega-hours” capacity, such as Cowon iAudio players.

If you really are going to be a big battery user, you may want to consider a replaceable-battery player.  SanDisk’s M series uses a AAA battery and so you can keep an extra rechargeable battery around and just swap it in when needed.  IMHO, it’s not as cool looking as the Clip but it is just fine (and kinda cool in a different way), and might be just what you need.  And it’s only $29.99 with free shipping for a 2gb player at buy.com (“reconditioned,” $2 less); set up a new Google Checkout account and get $10 off of that.  A great deal.

(And per the forum product spec. information, the M series gets 19 hours from the AAA battery.)

I was considering the much older m250(before I got the Clip), but the reviews kinda turned me off. I think I made a wise choice

I thought it was a fine player and the sound was good, but the design never thrilled me (the Clip is nicer, IMHO).  But the replaceable battery in it is super–just a AAA, which can be replaced anywhere.

Using a AAA was one of the reasons I almost bought it. But the reviews were mixed, & being an older model made me think twice. When my Clip dies in a couple of years from now, who knows what’ll be available? When that time comes, I have no clue what I’ll end up with!
