Playback on blu-ray player for MKV format

i was wondering if any body has tried using this drive  WDBACW0020HBK-NESN  for playback of MKV files on a blu-ray player that supports MKV playback?  Also if they have, was there any problems with playback

katoman, I’d be more worried in regards of physical compatibility between the Blu-Ray Player and the External Hard Disk Drive itself. Your player is likely to support a set File System, and your External Hard Disk Drives will only be seen by your player if they are configured (Formatted) in said File System.

thanks for the response.  i have used a 32 gig memory stick which is formatted NTFS system and had worked like a charm.  I purchased the external drive and have put my entire playlist on the external harddrive and it plays flawlessly just like my my memory stick would
