Why is it that my play back sounds nothing like the original did I miss something?It sounds like a remix.
Push it in until it kind of clicks. The headphone port is rather tight for a while when they are new.
You can also give it a twist as you push it in.
If it’s not all the way in, the “remix” you hear is actually the difference between the left and right channels. Sounds that are in both channels at the center of the mix–like, usually, the vocals–cancel each other out, so you hear only the sounds that are placed specifically left or right.
Also, the earbuds that come with inexpensive players (and for that matter overpriced players like dopI players) are not the greatest. Upgrading them will give you better sound, too.
