When attempting to transfer some jpg photos to my Sansa Fuze 2 GB they show up as an “Unsupported Format.”
Why will they not transfer or display?
When transfering jpg photos can I simply drag and drop or must I use the converter?

There are two things to check with your JPEG images which I know of:
maximum supported image size is 1280x1024 pixels
interlaced images (rarely used) are not supported
Anything else should work on a simple drag and drop.
Side note: If you use MSC connecting mode you could create subfolders under the PHOTO folder to organize things conveniently.
You cannot drag and drop them into the fuze. Use the converter for that.

Sure you can. I’ve done it . . . many times. They have to be plain 'ol vanila white-bread .jpg’s though. None of this JPEG 2000 or ‘enhanced’ nonsense.
Remember, the ‘album art.jpg’ procedure of displaying album covers? Well, if you create an album art.jpg file and put it in the Album folder and then drag & drop from your computer to your player, what happens to the image? It goes along for the ride and displays just fine.

Of course you can! For me - as being a poor linux user - this is the one and only way to get photos on the fuze. It has been working all the time.
