After purchasing the 256 GB Phone Drive (Lightning and USB-C connector) for use with an iPhone 12 (Lightning connector), downloading the Sandisk App (no manual available specifically available to this app and only Sandisk Memory Zone), for some reason I am unable to copy Folders from my device to the Phone Drive, only individual Documents/ Files.
How do I copy Folders with their respective contents from my iPhone 12 to the Phone Drive?

What the hell is the point of having numerous documents transferable with no organisation
The only available information on the Sandisk App is the Sandisk Memory Zone App which states,
" To copy a file:
1 . Select the file or folder using single select or multi select.
2 . Choose the device where you want to copy the file.
3 . Navigate through the file tree to find the desired destination."
So now you are saying that the newer Sandisk App has been degraded for reduced functionality and capabilities than the preceding Memory Zone App?!
Will the instructions that you have described enable the transfer of folders with their respective sub-folders and associated encompassing files in that file’s entirety, or does those instructions only enable the user to access files without the inclusion of the folders which contain them per their hierarchical categorical grouping?
The Sandisk web chat functionality does not allow me to contact an Australian agent within the specified available times, and when calling during the stated office times the Sandisk Australian phone number the pre-recorded message states to call back during office specified times.
I have bought this drive from Amazon International for close to $200 AUD and I can’t even copy folders and their files across (only the files within each folder).
How do I get the previous Sandisk Memory Zone app?
There appears to be a functionality limitation explicitly regarding the change in Sandisk apps.
On your iPhone 12, you can go to SANDISK → Phone → Copy from phone → iPhone Files, select the files, and copy them to a folder on the Phone Drive. However, you’ll need to recreate the folder structure manually.
If you have many folders and want to preserve their organization, the easiest option is to transfer them through a Windows PC or Mac, where you can copy folders and their contents together.

Thank you for your insight, but the issue remains that when a customer invests close to three times the additional for the same amount of memory (purchased a 256 GB CZ48 that cannot use an Lighting male to USB-C female adaptor then purchased the SanDisk Phone Drive SDIXD0N-256G-GN6NE), only to later discover that the SanDisk App’s inability to copy across Folders worth of data (incorporating both sub-folders and their associated files) per every other memory devices utilisation convention.
Instead, if users want to directly connect the SanDisk’s Phone Drives to their iPhones to copy across documents to save as a backup in a structured order, they must methodically (and painstakingly),
1 preemptively create folders per their existing structure on iPhone for proceeding document copying,
2 go through every folder’s (and their associated sub-folders) individually to select all the individual documents contained within it,
3 go across to the SanDisk’s Phone Drive’s newly created structure of folders (analogous to a file path tree on computer), then traverse through folders and associative sub-folders to locate the equivalent folder,
4 save the documents in that folder,
5 wait for that folder to finish the transfer of documents,
6 repeat all preceding steps for all folders and associative sub- folders,
or,
if users want to complete a disordered bulk data dump of documents, they must,
1 locate and go to each individual folder (and their associative sub-folders) location,
2 select all files in that folder (or sub-folder’s location),
3 select and copy all documents contained within that respective location,
4 dump those documents in the SanDisk Phone Drive,
5 repeat the preceding process until all documents on the iPhone device have been located for every folder (and their associated sub-folders) and have their contents transferred in a piecewise manner to the SanDisk Phone Drive,
or,
if the owner of a SanDisk Phone Drive wants a like-for-like duplication of their documents in the same folder, sub-folder hierarchical ordering from their iPhone they require a third-party electronic device (computer or laptop) for which any type USB connection can be utilised (thus removing the entire rationale of the close to three-times higher purchase price of the Phone Drive).
The SanDisk Phone Drive nor any of SanDisk’s USB Thumb-drives are fit-for-purpose to be used for the copying of documents in an ordered folder hierarchical structure by direct connection to an iPhone, and it needs to be plainly stated as such so that consumers (potential and actual) are clearly made aware of its limitations and capabilities, and that SanDisk thumb-drives require a third-party’s computational device with necessary software to be able to copy folders, sub-folders, and their associated documents to SanDisk thumb-drives in an ordered/ organised “file system” per electronic device’s normal convention.
Otherwise, the SanDisk app and SanDisk thumb-drives need to have such functionality and capability per electronic device’s normal convention or tell all consumers (current or potential) that SanDisk thumb-drives regardless of the SanDisk app cannot copy documents in their respective folders and specify such limitations.
