I recently formatted my 512 GB pen drive to NTFS . But as it was not supporting on my phone (android \poco x6 pro ) ,I reformatted it to fat32 file system . But the drive is still not showing on my phone .I tried to format it via many methods such as command prompt , APMEI Partition Manager , Windows File Explorer , EASEUS Partition Manager , but none worked . Can anyone suggest what I should do now ?
Looks like you’ve already tried multiple formatting methods, let’s rule out a few things.
- Does the pen drive show up on other Android devices? Maybe it’s a compatibility issue with your Poco X6 Pro.
- What happens when you plug it into a PC now? Does it show up normally in File Explorer, or does it have any errors in Disk Management?
- Did you format it using the correct sector size? Sometimes, FAT32 formatting can still mess up if the allocation unit size is too big/small.
Also, Android tends to prefer exFAT over FAT32 for larger drives. Have you tried formatting it to exFAT instead? That might just do the trick.
