If one could connect the USB ports between two players with a cable (like a null modem) - and
the two players could see the folders of the other player - as in a peer to peer network -
then individuals could trade files between players without a computer.
Not only would this cause people to standardize on a product that could do this,
it would also mean the line of products would capitalize on the human nature
of young people to congregate and network spontaneously. It would be open and also be
the opposite of Apple’s proprietary itunes scheme.
