Passport Won't copy folder from drive to drive

I have a 2tb passport portable USB 3.0 that is almost full. I got a good deal on two 2tb passport ultra USB 3.0 drives which I recieved yesterday. I want to use one of the ultra drives for a back up of the full drive. Everything in the full drive in under one folder with several sub-folders. I should be able to copy and paste the folder from one drive to the other ( I have done this many times before with other drives, all WD ) but when I try nothing happens. I have tryed drag and drop, formating new drive, rebooting computer with no luck. However it will transfer subfolders one at a time as long as there is no other subfolder in the first folder. And when it transfers it does it at a little less than half speed of what my other USB 3.0 drives do when transfering from drive to drive. Oh and I have also ran the data lifeguard and it passes every test.

Please can someone help me to resolve this problem. Thank You.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to say I am running Win 7.

Hello,

This seems like a data corruption issue. Try transferring the subfolders one by one then you will have to format the drive in order to fix this.

I have done both things that you have sugested already as stated in my previous post. Since posting last I have even updated the drivers, and tried different cables. It will transfer one sub-folder at a time but I also notice that it does it at 45 mb/sec instead of the 90 mb/sec that I usually get. Also when I delete a file and go to empty the recycle bin it dosn’t empty. This is so weird.
