I have a myPassport wd ultra hdd 2tb and its been working fine since I bought it about a year or 2 ago I have used up 1.6tb and today I was copying a file onto it and it crashed I tried replugging it into a different port even a different pc, it doesn’t recognise it on W10 or my linux machine. When I plug it in the laptop does detect some sort off usb device but instead of external hdd it assigns it to my local drive (E:), and I can’t open it or access it through disk management as it keeps loading and then crashes. Please Help!

Have you tried using a different USB cable? Perhaps this can help out making the drive visible.
