Passport not working on MAC OS 10.12 (Sierra)

Hello,

I just bought the new Passport WD and could not format for MAC usage. I think it is because of my operation system OS 10.12 (Sierra).

I tried to use the Disk Utility but it says that I cannot complete the partition.

Hi, normally when disk utility is unable to finish a format it tells you a reason why, why was the reason that was not able to be done?
