Just installed Passport External drive on my Windows 7 laptop. 

Question:

Can I install Linux on part of the external drivel in a dual-boot configuration with the Windows 7 OS which of course resides on the original internal drive?

I don’t see why this should not work.

You might want to search on the community for other post pretending to linux.
