Is the output of Sansa Clip+ enough to drive RE0? I’m planning to get one…
I am having problems with Sansa Clip+ and Music Valley SP1, which is around 30Ohms impedance. Sensitivity of the IEM, i’m not sure. After utilizing a FiiO E5 in the way, the SP1 really woke up, however, the quality of the output like headroom, SNR and all is clearly lacking after amping, but it does give much more impact.
If you guys could provide me the output figures, it will be great.
Or if you have experiences with RE0 and Clip+, please share! Thanks!
I don’t understand your question. The clip+ should be enough to drive anything under a couple hundred ohms. But you probably already knew that if you tried 30 ohm IEMs?
Hmm, okay. The performance of a headphone/earphone depends on it’s Impedance and Sensitivity. I have had low volume issues with Sansa Clip+ several times with SoundMagic products like PL21 and PL30, despite them being low impedance IEMs. It was okay with Creative EP-630 and Razor Protone M100. It was rubbish with Music Valley SP1.
However, this happens on the Clip+ only, the Sony X series and Iphone 3GS have no problem with any of the above stated.
So my question is, RE0 is a 64Ohm IEM, but i do not know to relate Impedance with Sensitivity, is the Clip+ able to drive it well? Or does it certainly need amping?
I’m not that stupid kay, and stop treating me like one. I know you are a rockbox developer, and through our few forum posts and PMs, you are a very arrogant man. Please, if you are not posting a reply in favor of the thread’s topic and contents, get lost. Go back to designing rockbox and acting very ego at your rockbox world. Not with me. ; )

If you don’t want help, don’t ask for it. Theres no excuse for being such an ass to people trying to answer you question.
I’m askin for output voltage & wattage of Clip+… is it enough to drive RE0(64Ohm) without much SQ loss? And if people had experiences with this setup, i would want them to share.
I do not need to be told about EU and volume limits which has been posted many times in this forum. Just like you do not need to be told to turn off non essential stuff in the Clip+.
If you dont know how to read and interpret a question, dont answer.
Neways, 144 views and not a single reply…i guess no one knows? or had experience with this setup?

I don’t know what those REO things sound like, because I don’t like IEM’s, but I’m not thrilled with the combination of my 60 ohm KSC75’s and my Clip+. I either have to use an amp in the mix, or only use my KSC75 with my Sony players (which is what I usually do.)
