Opening my password protected WD My Passport 2tb drive on a computer without any WD software on it

Hi,

Just just wondering if someone knows if a can unlock my password protected WD My Passport 2tb hard drive on a computer without any WD unlocking software on it.

I need to take it into work and transfer files but can install software on my computer as the are all restricted.

And if not… does anyone know the best way around this?

Hello,

the WD Unlocker should show on the computer even if you don’t have any WD Software installed on it. If it does not show because of a restriction on the computer then you can remove the security on the drive so it does not require an unlock.
