"Not enough space for Music DB please free 90Mb" - Connection via MSC mode not possible.

Hello,

i have a 3 day old Sansa Fuze on Firmware 01.01.15. I copied some .flacs to it in MSC mode with my Kubuntu Box. After i shut down i wanted to take my Sansa with me - but the **bleep** thing came with the erros Message: “Not enough space for Music DB please free 90Mb” - i have read several threads about this problem and all suggestdeleting files or reformatting the inter nal flash - but the **bleep** thing does not show up anymore on Kubuntu or OSX. :frowning:

Any advice appreciated…

I just had the idea of doing an:

lsusb in a terminal - the output just hangs until i remove the sansa. It seems that it blocks the USB port. Also the Sansa’s screen is Stuck at “Not enough…” no way to remove stuff through the menu. Seems like it’s dead.

Not dead at all but you need Windows to run ChkDsk.

Windows does not recognise the Player either… so it is not possible to use checkdisk on the Flashdrive.

lsusb works but takes some time if the player is connected.
