Not able to write to my passport

I have a new WD My Passport drive, although it is mounted, I am unable to write to it.
If Attempt to drag and dropped, grey No Symbol appears

I have an iMac running Catalina

did you Format the drive for macOS???

I have exactly the same problem and I certainly formatted the drive for macOS…
