I sit close to my router even then my WD my passport wireless is able to detect my neighbours wifi but not my own. tried a zillion times not working. Please help!!

There could be several reasons it’s not seeing your network. I would make sure that all the wireless settings in the Passport Wireless match your router settings. If you’ve used it to directly connect to your laptop, or pc in another location, settings could have been changed.

The problem is that in the dashboard when i go to the Wifi Tab and toggle the one/of switch of wifi to connect to home network, it shows all networks nearby except my own. I have a dual band router which broadcasts both at 2.4 and 5G. It does not pick even the 2.4 G network. It is able to pick my neighbors but not mine. Please tell me what should be the correct configuration of my router so that it can be seen by my passport wireless. I have D-Link router 802.11ac model number DIR-816
