Nifty USB AC adapter--$1.99 shipped (sale price)

If you need a USB AC adapter, Meritline.com has the seemingly genuine Apple small cube version, at $1.99 with free shipping (shipping is from Asia and so will take 2-3 weeks, but is dependable); tax applies in California.  Going for $30 (no, that’s not a typo) at the Apple store (in a wasteful, fancy lucite box–with Meritline.com, you simply get the adapter), the adapter is rated at 1A–powerful enough for most USB-powered portables, including the Clip.  Small and handy–a good opportunity to pick up an extra (or 2, although there is a limit of 1 per account/email address).

There are many other inexpensive USB AC adapters out there, to say the least, but what I like about this one is its small size, with a height of about an AC socket plug cut-out, so it won’t block the wall plug above or below; I also appreciate the 1 Amp power rating, in case you have appliances with higher power needs.  Also, the fact that this seems to be a genuine, mainstream manufacturer product at a super pricing (shipped) is nice as well.

Just an update:

Above coupon code still is working.  Direct item product page (add item to basket and then apply coupon code):  http://www.meritline.com/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=32670&SEName=ipod-touch-iphone-3g-adapter-charger-262

(Item name:  “White USB Power Adapter Charger for iPhone”)

That’s a good find and it’s a hard price to beat.    I like the small compact size of it.

I purchased these earlier, and took advantage of the current sale to pick a couple more up.  Work just fine and, as said, they are relatively small and don’t get in the way.  They do seem to be genuine as commissioned by the manufacturer, which offers some safety/quality comfort.
