Hi,
I just joined the community
I was trying to locate where I can post for my problem with the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS . I have an issue that after the screen post it would go black and after say, 4 min of waiting it tells me about the license.txt missing --I surmise it’s the aggreement prior using the diagnostic app. (Sorry I wasn’t able to write it down).
I am using the same Linux CD I have been using since Oct 2009 and it had always worked. Now all of a sudden it tells me that something is missing in that same read-only CD! Wow…what happened there? I burned another CD and it’s still the same message.
Can someone shed some light on this? Someone experienced this before?
Thank you
Bjourne
The version that you have selected on that link is not for the CD version of the software
Try with this one is a ISO for DOS.

Another thing, you are mentioning that you are using linux CD, that software is only supported on the following OS
 Supported Operating Systems
- Windows Vista
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows ME
- Windows 98SE
- Windows 98
I have already downloaded the version that says Diag504fCD.iso and burned two CDs. Each time I get the same message mentioned about a missing DLGLICE.txt file. Then it looks for command.com on drive A:. Almost seems like this version is the DOS version and the files are mixed up. I have noticed that several posters have mentioned problems with the software in the past month or so. Hopefully someone will figure out what has gone wrong so that we can use the Data Lifeguard software again. Maybe it has somerhing to do with the laptops being used. Mine is an HP dv9500 if that gives any help. Thanks for any suggestions you might have to get this software working.
