Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a new Sansa Player that might be coming out soon, or if people have any speculations about it. I’m considering getting a Fuze but don’t want to if they will be releasing something new soon.
You can wait, or you can enjoy a good listen. The new Fuze is the hot ticket, and with updates, it’s getting even better.

what about the view, how do you think they compare
If it were me, I’d go with the fuze now; and worry about future production units later. I’ve had dozens of portable music players over the years from a variety of brands and the fuze (now with the sleep timer in place) is the best player I’ve ever had…

The best way to find out is to visit and peruse the View board here on the forum. I could be wrong, but I think the general concenus is they stink!

A View? One of these?
Well, there are some interesting prototypes, but consider how much bigger this beastie was. Yes, that’s a full side SD slot atop the device. The Sansa View has a different chipset, and a much more involved firmware library, mi4 format like the earlier e200v1.
Granted, it has a nice big screen (the production one, that is), but it’s been plagued with stability and battery service life issues. The View goes up to 32GB onboard, plus µSD_HC_ capability too.
The Clip and Fuze have been the development focus as of late. Now that they’re pretty stable, perhaps there will be resources open to tackle the Fuze’s biggest cousin.
