Need Help with Sansa Fuze and iMac compatibility

I recently purchased a fuze because I read it was MAC compatible, but I have no clue how to make it that way.  I have researched the manual but it’s so over my head that I haven’t a clue.  I plug it into my mac and it will recognize it but that’s about the limit of my knowledge.  Does anyone have any step by step instructions for the beginner to make this work for me?

Thanks,

Jim

Your Fuze must be in MSC mode to work with a Mac. Not MTP. Not AUTO-DEFECT. MSC mode allows your computer to see your player as just another storage device (drive).

You can change it by going into SETTINGS > SYSTEM SETTINGS > USB MODE.

There is also a member here, GuyScharf who has a web page dealing with setting up mp3 players and Macs and getting them to ‘play together nicely’. You might find it helpful.

I have the same problem.  How do I persuade my Fuze to adopt MSC mode?
