MyPassport not playing on tv

Hello:
When I plug myPassport into my TV’s usb, I get a message saying:

New portable device connected

Device: MyPassport 0748

Then two options:

Media Play

Software Upgrade.

When I click on either one of those, nothing happens.

Any suggestions? I really appreciate it.  It works on other TVs I have tried.

Have you check if the drive format is fully supported by the TV.

Also make sure that your TV is updated.
