WD External and Portable SSD External SSD for Windows

I am at my wits end (did not take long to get there) and cannot get my drive to connect in Win 10. I get it WD abandoned these drives and us that use them. Why no driver? (rhetorical).

What are my solutions. Is it completely gone…files lost forever?

There seems to be a lot of problems connecting to Windows. I suggest you search Knowledge Base for this problem. There is a lot of help there.
