Mybook World access stored files

hi there,

my western digital mybook world doenst boot anymore, so according to the western digital support, i removed the hard drive, attached it into a pc, booted via a Linux knoppix cd, but how do i find my files now?

I can browse the file System, but where are my files stored which were hosted as a Windows smb share? I want to backup them, but i cannot find the files… :frowning:

Hey, I have never tried the setup you’re using to try to access your My Book World. But let’s see if any one else here have successfully tried it and can share some information that will be helpful for you.
