MyBook Essential 1.5TB. Cache?

Hello there,

I’m new here, and I have a simple question.

I have a MyBook Essential, 1.5TB (model: WDBAAF0015HBK-NESN). How large is the disk’s cache?

I can’t find that bit of info anywhere it seems. Tried here, the PDFs, the box… I don’t wanna open the box just yet because I haven’t decided if I keep it or sell it. It all depends on the diagnostics results from my current backup drive. If it doesn’t need replacing, I’ll probably sell this one.

But the potential buyer asked me about the cache, so while I know it’s not a large difference in the performance… You gotta humor someone if they’re paying you for something heh.

There would be no way of telling unless you open the case.  However, opening the case will void the warranty of the drive.
