MyBook backup files shown on empty drive

I use WD Smartware and a WD 2TB MyBook for backup. I’ve installed a new larger drive and transferred the media from the old drive to the new and reformatted the old drive for extra storage. WD Smartware still sees files of all different types on the drive. How do I get rid of the drive image.
