What is actually inside the Mybook box?. Is it a normal SATA drive? If so is the remapping of 512>4K sector on the harddrive electronics or is it in the circuit board that contains the USB interface and power supply?.
Basic question, if I remove the harddrive from the case can I plug it into my MBoard SATA connectors and will it work properly?
I tried looking up detailed specs on the device but they don’t show much except for detailed performance numbers.

Normally this information is not available, however on drives like My book duo it does have 2 normal sata drives since you can switch the drives. Lets see if another user can share some information on tips to help you answer this question.
