Looking for help as my time machine backup is on my wd my passport studio external drive and i cant upload it to my new mac as it is not recognised.
I am connecting with usb to an adapter into the usb c port of the new mac. My old mac is dead and i need the time machine backup.
I have tried various cables and searched for drves in disk utility and finder to no avail.
I believe it is a conpatibility issue.
Can anyone help?
Do you see the Time Machine backup on the Desktop of your new Mac? Are you running macOS Mojave? Have you tried restoring time machine via macOS Utilities?
