I’ve had this hard drive for almost 2 years. I was once tricked into putting a password on it by smartware, and I’ve been using this annoying password for some time. Now, all of a sudden, it’s telling me that this password is incorrect, and therefore I can’t have access to my files. Is this normal? If so, how do I fix it?
There is no reset or work around. After 5 tries you get a message to erase drive. Just remove and plug back in any you get 5 more tries. Try using a diffeent PC or user account like the Guest account. Occasionally that works.
