My backup has been working till a week ago. When I connect it, my laptop (Win 8.1) recognizes it. The disk management utility says that the drive is healthy and I’m able to see files that have been backed up previously. But when I click on WD Backup icon, nothing happens. I tried running the application directly with the same result. I re-installed the software from the WD website, restarted the computer etc. but the problem persists. The utilities work. Could someone offer suggestions? Thanks.
