Can someone help me figure out why my hd is not mounting? I’ve owned this for less than 2 years and probably used it twice to backup my wife’s computer. The hard drive barely left 5 feet in its lifetime since I took it out of its packaging…

The hard drive seems to power up and I can feel it spinning but nothing shows on my desktop or disk utilities for 2 different Macs. Help please.

I have. Now I’m even more bummed out. I have to buy a brand new USB cable after only using it a few times? Any ideas if there’s a warranty on this? If not, any idea what type of adapter it is on one end? Thanks.

Try creating a case with WD to check the warranty on the device and it parts.
