My Passport - Transfer files

Hello

I had my HP Notebook (Windows 7) stolen recently.  I had backed up all my data to My Passport before it was stolen.  I now have a new HP Notebook (Windows 7) and I do not know how to retrieve the data from My Passport and transfer it to my new computer.  Can anyone help me?

I would very much appreciate any assistance.

How did you back up the data with Smartware or other software? If so you’ll probably have to use that to retrieve it.

Hi Joe, thank you very much for your help.  I have another question.  I have lost all my Windows Live Mail contacts and wonder would a copy of the contacts be on My Passport and if so, how can I restore them to Windows Live Mail.  Thank you in advance for your help.  Kind regards.  Shivaun
