I have two My Passport Studio firewire drives connected to my iMac but the second drive daisy chained to the first drive isn’t recognised. Both drives work perfectly on their own if connected directly to the firewire port on the computer but when the second drive is connected to the first drive (daisy-chained with firewire) it will not work. Any ideas why?

Do you have the drive security enabled? if so then this link might help.
The drive is not security enabled.
