Hi there,
I purchased a WD My Passport 4tb,but i ran into a problem the hard drive keeps sending me a message saying,slot B is missing please replace slot B.Called the company they couldn’t help me.Those anyone out there has any idea please share it,thanks.

Where did you purchase the drive?

Are you able to copy files to the drive?

I got it from BestBuy,and yes i’m able to copy files.My problem stems from,when i first connet the hard rive to my Mac Pro that’s when the warning shows up telling me that slot B is missing and that i should replace it.I have spoken to Western Digital, but they did nothin,they asked me to run the usual tests,and i did and it past with flying colors.Thank you for trying to help with my situation,thanks again.

I have the same issue - when it’s connected to my Mac there’s a warning that Slot B is Missing. But all tests by the WD app and Disk Utility seem to be fine.

Hi Andy,yes i did find the solution you have to uninstall WD Drive Utility and re-install it again that should solve your problems, good luck Andy.
