My passport is not longer detected by any computer

I only can see my passport (2TB) in disk utilities and it says that it is full (which is impossible). But I can not access to my files (it not appears in the desktop). I need to recover my data!!!
What I can do?

  1. Can you share Disk Utility screenshot?
  2. Is your hard drive appearing in Finder or Desktop?
  3. Can you repair the hard drive with D.U?

Back your hard drive as soon as possible with Time Machine. You can also create the disk image of the hard drive using Disk Utility. Once backup is made, format the hard drive using Mac OS X Utilities and restore OS X. Must read - How to Restore & Recover Hard Drive Data on MacBook Pro, Air, and iMac

Reformatting your hard drive (and MacOS restoration) will rebuild a new file (HFS) system on your Macintosh HD which should resolve the issue.

In case, the above suggestions fail to repair the hard drive then you will require a professional hard drive repair tool. Secure the backup first.
