MY Passport Essentials 3.0 Stopped Working

I have a 1 TB Passport Essentials External Drive.  IT stopped wroking.  It can not be detected in Smartware but can be seen in Disk Management.  THe VCD says I must use smartware to unlock the drive unfortunately I can’t since smartware can not be detected.   Is there anyways I can unlock the drive?

I remember before updating the firmware, it uses the USB 0740A Driver, but now it is using the Element 1040.  Is that the cause of the problem?

Hello,

Please verify if the drive is seen on “computer”. If its not then verify how is it seen on Disk Management ? 

What’s the status on it? Is it Healthy, Unallocated or RAW?

The unlocker Sector can be seen on My computer.  In Disk Management the locked part says it is  Unallocated and can not be initialize.  I do not mind formatting the drive but unfortunately I can’t since it is locked.
