Hi, guys!
I recently bought a new computer, which already has an internal hard drive designated with the drive letter E:
The device shows up in disk management, but it’s labeled “unallocated” (not sure if this is the correct term, as my OS isn’t in english)
The problem is, that windows doesn’t allow me to do anything to it. I don’t get any options to allocate, change drive letter or anything.
Is there anything that can be done, or is this a lost cause?
Hi, try using another USB cable or another USB port on the PC, avoid using extension USB cables or USB hubs. If that doesn’t work and you don’t have any important files inside the passport you can try using DLG to write zeros, then you can try to format it from the disk management window.
