Hello,

What is the normal write speed for this. I am seeing average of 25MB/sec. Is it good ?

If it’s useful for you, my WD Passport Essential reaches ~32 MB/s

Writing speed to and from My Passport 500 GB Ext. USB disk starts @ 32 MB per second but goes down

to 18 MB per sec and remains constant at 18 MB per sec. I Got USB 2.0 Enhanced ports, got a good configuration

notebook. I know the USB 2.0 transfer rate should be around 80 MB per second. Anybody got an idea if the transfer rate can be increased ? Or is it the USB drive only supports 18 to 32 MB per sec ?
