I have had some issues with my Passport HD (P/N: WDBACX0010BBK-01). I looked around this community but could not find a similar problem. When I plug in the Passport the light on the side blinks and the computer recognizes that a mass storage device is present (it does not call it a Passport but calls it Local Disk G:) but I cannot access any information on the drive. When I click on it all I get is a spinning circle and the window locks up. My computer is a Toshiba Satelite 355D. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
you will find a lot of info if you look under corrupted partition
in order to get the data you’ll need a data recovery software
try TestDisk or Recuva
reformatting should bring the drive back to working condition
