My mac wont show my WD My book essential

Hi All,

I have several WD My books and have 4 in total, Now my 2 3tb ones wont show up at all, I have 2 macs so have tried both and just nothing , yes I have checked disc utilitys and nothing there. The power light is on the Hardrive , this is happening with both as I have 2 of these, I have updated firmwar and all software.
 Just find it strange both don’t work yetmy older models do

The model number is WDBACW0030HBK

Any help will be great and very much appreciated.

Have you tried usign another USB cable or connecting the My Books to another Mac?

Yes tried dufferent usb leads, and if you read you willsee I have tried on 3 different macs! Still waiting for a reply via your customer service since last Sunday, nice 1 day reply hey!

Hi again, try requesting a replacement power adapter from tech support, the should be able to arrange this for you. If the problem continues, the My Book would unfortunately appear to be faulty.
