my clip starts only when connected to power outlet or computer

i am using windows xp sp2

i updated to the latest firmware

my clip start only when connected to a power 

if it stops then i have to again connect to power outlet for my clip to “ON”

Please help me

Possibly the broken battery wire issue.

You would need to open the Clip and reconnect the wire to the battery.  There has been discussion here on this–you may want to try a search (box at above left).
