Hello fellow WD users,
I ran in to a quite big problem this summer, and have been pushing up the repair till now.
my external HDD wd wont mount anymore since i started mixing with the HDD, but let me
take it back to the start,
When i got the notis that the hack been targeting WD MB Live HDD’s i immediately disconnected
the WD Live HD,
The day after i wanted to se if my HDD was damaged, so instead of connecting it back i disassembled the drive and took out the red labeled HDD
and because i didn’t know munch about Drives generally, i thought that i could take out one of the two drives from my second External HDD, the “My Book Studio Edition II” to see if i could access it from there,
of course it didn’t work, so then i thought that maybe the second original drive that was still inside was giving it a comparity issue, so i took it out also, still didn’t work.
so after giving up the attempt the make my red labeled HDD work i reassembled the original HDD’s to the case, but nothing is happening when i turned it on, i then realized that i mounted the two HDD’s on the wrong order, B first A second( I didn’t notis the letters before) so I then after rearranged the drives, but still nothing.
the light on the front turns on with a wave the immediately start flashing every second.
i cant even se the drive in disk utility on my mac book pro, when i connect it with the thunderbolt cable.
because i only have one mount when i connect it i’m guessing i have a RAID HDD, (Don’t know much about RAID)
is it a problem i can fix or is the data lost forever?.
My WD MB Live still works, but that’s a different story,
