:neutral_face: I have a Problem. All my photos are on my My Book external harddisk.
Something broke down - it smells and the My Book doesn’t start anymore.

I build out the harddisk and mounted it on another SATA Adapter. The Harddisk works, but my Computer cannot “see” the data.
I checked the Harddisk - there is the Format RAW - not NTFS…

How can I come to my data? does it help to buy another My Book and integrate this harddisk?
I need this photos, it’s so sad…

Clear - I learned to save the data in Addition on another harddisk - but it doesn’t help :slight_smile:my data is gone… Or you have me an Idea what I can test???

Pulling the hard disk out won’t work. The drive is hardware encrypted. You need the exact case it came in in order to see the data. If it smells, it’s possible you had a power surge. Unless you had your data backed up, you’re most likely looking at data recovery.

You hard drive adapter was burned that you can find same one for decrypted your data. Show me photo of your adapter I can borrow to you if I have same one in hand. It’s first way.

Another way send it to dr company for recovery data. It easy job that may cost cheap price.
