My Book for Mac Won't complete a Full backup

My Book for Mac will only backup 35 GB of my MacBook’s hard drive.  I get a message that the My book is full even though it has  1 Tb capacity.  I have tried erasing the My Book, reinstalling the software, and checked to make sure I have the lattest versions of the firmware and WD programs.

My software version is OS 10.8.6

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am desperate to backup my harddrive.

If you are using Smartware to backup your files, try to download the latest version. Also verify if you have any problems while copying the files manually into the My Book.
