My book for Mac firmware update issue

Hello, I need halp, because yesterday I upgraded the firmware of my new My book for Mac 1TB

WDBAAG0010HCH EESN as suggested by virtual CD Manager, and now the HDD is not reconized by my mac and it seems stacked with fix led on.

HD connected via USB OS Mac OS 10.6.4

Please hel because before I have already stored some data on it.

After updating did you by chance forget to power cycle the drive? That is generally what occurs until you do.

“power cycle the drive” is that just turn it on and off?

I have had the same problem - updated the firm ware and my mac no longer recognises the existence of the drive

Yes. Powercycling the drive means to turn it off, wait a bit, and then turn it back on.
