my book essentials dead after 12 days, question is if i send it in for replacment what happens to the content on it? i put a lot of word documents ect on it.
If they refurbish the drive it will be reformatted, if you want data recovery it is not free.

All data, of a drive that is returned to be replaced, is erased. Once is received in our warehouse, it will be connected to a machine that erases ALL data, in a way that cannot be recovered.
ok cool, my wife put our bank account information on there, it gets wiped…cool. lol i have the “click of death”, i told the person on the phone who wanted me to plug it into the wall that i had already took it out of the enclosure and hooked it straight to my pc…he asked was the hard drive damaged in taking it out…i said no…next thing i know i’m getting a advanced rma…cool.
