I built a new computer and no longer need my My Book Duo (WDBFBE0160JBK-NESN), so after transferring its data to spinners inside the new computer, I intend to securely erase the My Book Duo. In addition to running a program on the hard drives themselves, do I need to wipe or otherwise reset the housing’s board/RAID controller/etc.? In other words, do the housing’s internals store any information, even if a small amount, to transfer to the hard drives? Or is it just a pass-through device? Thanks!
