My book doesnt read partitions

Hey there everyone,

Iam having a tough problem with my external hard drive. Yesterday Ive tried to resize volume of my partitions on
my external HDD with acronis disk director software to a maximum possible size ( Ive had 160 gb unallocated) . When the proces has  finished resizing Ive repluged the HDD and find out theres no way to see my partitions at windows explorer, thoght Iam still able to acess WD smart ware CD with all tools I cannot see any of partitions. The locker on disk drive is lightened but, software says the disk itself is unlocked. Ive recently tried to update the firmware but updating process has met with some “unspecified error”. After that Ive decided to check hdd in bios, which is able to see each of
the partitions which still contains my data which I would really miss a lot if I had to format my external HDD.  Iwold be so glad if theres anyone whos able to share some wisdom to help me out of this pitty situation.

thx in advance
Mark.

btw: there isnt WD support available for my country.
