I have a 6 TB My Book. Used for running PS4 games on PS4 and now PS5. There is over 3TB of stored data on it. Recently crashed, PS5 tried repairing it and could not, recommended reformat.
Plugged it into Windows computer: disk management shows it however no drive path. WD diagnostics found bad sectors that may be repairable. I did not proceed as unsure how that affects PS4 data.
I contacted WD support and they advise to contact data retrieval company. One that I contacted said not possible due to proprietary content of Playstation.
Any advice on how to retrieve game data? I have another drive to transfer to if possible.
