My Book 2TB - Updated software now can not see folders or files

Updated software and now I can not see any previously created folders or files stored on the drive. I can see the drive and access it but it appears to default to a root directory where the drive’s software is installed. I can not see any of the folders or files I stored on the unit. Previously mapped drives also now do not work indicating they are no longer available. The information appears to still be there because it is still registering the same amount of available storage space on the drive as there was before the update. How do I find my files ???
